This week, Brooklyn-native Kingdom put up one of the tracks from his forthcoming EP Dreama in full, and judging that track alongside the short clips of the rest of the EP, he’s got a real gem of a record on the way. “Let You No” starts out sounding like some high quality Night Slugs-signature style future house complete with washy synths and expertly programmed drums, and it’s not until halfway through the 6-minute track that he introduces a timeless vocal refrain admitting that “Baby, I should have held back, but I just thought I’d let you know..”

Dreama is due out on November 21st via the Night Slugs imprint – check the artwork and preview clips of the whole EP, taken from the Night Slugs soundcloud.
Now then, I’m very excited to do our first contest/ticket giveaway here at the Daily Dread – we’ve got a ticket for the Kingdom show in Nelson, BC at the Spiritbar next Friday November 26 up for grabs, courtesy of my good homey Dave at Bassbizniz Productions..
All you have to do is send me an email at dailydreadbass@gmail.com and answer me one question: which Kingdom track did I include on my recent podcast for DubSelekta.com? Include your full name & phone number as well – I’ll choose a winner at random on Wednesday November 25th at 6pm. Did I mention that the Ghostwhip of the Philthkids is opening up, alongside the cosmic badman Fluxo? I’ve got to take a minute and say that Fluxo is one of the most engaging & underrated selectors on the west coast, his mix Live In Love has become a staple on my playlist since he uploaded it last spring. Also, check out a week-old Philthkids tune – these guys have spaced out juke vibes for days. Check their soundcloud for the fire.

Kingdom also has dates in Victoria & Vancouver, on Friday November 25th & Saturday Dec 10th, respectively. Both coastal shows are brought to you by the Sub|division crew, the latter of which is part of their 2 year anniversary celebrations. Click the poster for full info on each.
