This Saturday I have the pleasure of returning to the Spiritbar in Nelson, BC to play alongside Orlando’s dancehall/bashment heavyweights South Rakkas Crew on their Gangsta Revival tour, featuring MC Jimmy Tucan, from Kingston, Jamaica via Toronto. Their tour includes a number of other Canadian stops, so click that link for the full rundown. They’ve also added a couple more dates in Vancouver at the end of the month, including Thursday Ting! on March 1st.

It will be the first South Rakkas show in Nelson in a few years, and my first set there in over 6 months! Really looking forward to returning to the Spiritbar, that place was literally my second home while living in Nelson.

This party is billed as the annual Valentines Day party from Bassbizniz Productions, following a sold out party last year featuring Zed’s Dead from Toronto, and will again feature custom visuals from Invisible, who was on the screens last year – check out a montage clip of his skills from that night here.
Should be a highly diverse night of music, focusing on the bassy side of dancehall and hip hop, as you can see from the videos & mix though, they’ll touch on dubstep, grime, and electro/house vibes as well.
