Kastle – Sandy Relief EP & Vancouver show

A little bit late on this one, as the EP has been up for about a week, but Kastle‘s label Symbols Recordings have released a fine 6-track compilation with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.  The EP is stacked with contributions from a group of up & coming producers – namely Lion GonzalezDunesJason BurnsCream DreamKidnapped & one from Kastle himself.

My personal favorites of the bunch are the tracks from Lion Gonzalez (“Bleached Blondes“), Dunes (“You Again“) & Jason Burns (“Either Way“) – the last of which will also be responsible for the next Symbols release – a collaborative effort between himself & Brent Still Life, entitled Right Here.  While we’re at it, check out this preview of a new track from Kastle’s forthcoming debut LP, a collaboration with Miami-based vocalist Austin Paul, “Without You.”  You might also remember Jason Burns from the sublime “Somebody,” a joint effort between himself & Kastle that came out via Symbols a few months back.

I’m also pleased to announce that myself (dj Dubconscious) & Max Ulis will be opening for Kastle here in Vancouver at Fortune Sound Club on Thursday January 31st – watch out for the full info release coming soon.  Here’s a preview of Max’s latest tune.
